Train Museum Photos.

The "Museo del Ferrocarril" is a great place to spend a Saturday morning with the kids. They'll love it and it's free. It's open from 10 to 15:00, but you won't need more than two or three hours to see everything. Dress warmly in the winter as it is not heated. The Train Museum is just 15 or 20 minutes walk down the street from Atocha.

The Café

I really loved their warm renovated-train-café although it's a bit small and overcrowded once the mobs start arriving at about noon. Coffees were only 1.10.

Model Trains

There's a section of the museum that has a large exposition of toy trains. They turn them on every hour or so for about 15 minutes. They're loads of fun for the young ones.
