Hot English Language Services Agency in Madrid.

Hot English Language Services is a local company that publishes a bi-monthly resource pack called "Power Pack Online" with about 8 listening / speaking activities per issue. With my 37.5 hours of class per week and an active webpage to run, if I hadn't bought the adult resource pack for 250 euros per year, I'd be toast just about now. (I think I could use a weekly issue.)

If you're still stuck on "Instant Ideas," I recommend you make the switch. (Unless you're a stickler for overwhelming the students with excessively repetitive and boring CNN and FOX news reports.) (Google Maps Photos) Facilities and classrooms: Most of the classes are carried out at the clients’ offices although a reduced number are done in Moncloa as well. Have good materials support, photocopier? Our teachers are able to take full advantage of our up to date and ready to go class system “the Powerpack” for at least 50% of their classes, the teachers love it because its saves them so much preparation time whilst at the same time guaranteeing them real quality, interesting classes based on the most up to date news items. The packs are updated fortnightly and monthly. In addition as we are a publishing company our teachers have access to quite a lot of books and the whole of the back supply of our English learning magazine “Hot English” which comes with CD. There is a photocopier in our offices as well numerous terminals for access to the internet. Have "Director of Studies" support? Yes, the Director of studies is available 40 hours per week to assist teachers VIPs on staff? YES, Andrew Coney is the editorial director of the company, he is a well published EFL writer, predominantly for the publisher Espasa Calpe. Check out his books at any good bookshop here in Spain, they include “Gramática Inglesa”, “Verbos ingleses”, “Dudas y falsos amigos”, “Concise English Dictionary”, “Terminos economicos” and “Inglés – guia esencial para el viajero”.

How many teachers does Hot English Language Services hire per year? 50 to 75 teachers hired annually. Number of students: 1000+ students approx. Employment Information: Qualification requirements for employment? Degree, TEFL qualification. Will only consider native speakers of English. Experience requirements for employment? Preferably with some experience but we do use teachers without experience particularly if they have the right type of personality. We believe learning English should be fun so look for teachers whose personalities enforce that message. Hire at a distance? Yes. Preference for British or Americans? We consider both. Best part about working at Hot English Magazine? Hot English by being a publisher as well offers a lot more to the students then the standard academy package. Every student receives, free of charge, a monthly copy with CD of our magazine Hot ENGLISH plus an accompanying exercise pack. They also receive free access to our web school and the restricted area of our website. These extras are delivered to the students by the teachers therefore creating an excellent atmosphere between student and the representative of the academy, the teacher. Teachers like Hot English because it is a young, dynamic and fun company. Those with writing skills sometimes get headhunted to do paid content writing as well as some recording for our CDS.
