No, this is not about my English class. This is a photo essay
of my last trips to one of two zoos in Madrid: Faunia,
which complements the other older Madrid
zoo with other animals, shows and expositions. It's a great
place, but it's a bit expensive. Or maybe as an English teacher
I'm just too poor to go out in Madrid. It costs 20 euros for adults
and 14 for children and seniors. (Parking costs 3 euros for the
day. Soft drinks out of the machines cost 2.10.) Hours are from
around 10 to 17:30 (at least in the winter).
On my second trip to Faunia, I got a year-long pass for my
family of three for 60 euros through a special offer in a local
newspaper. Anybody can get the same pass, however, by simply
paying a little over a 100 euros. This pass also gets you into
some other amusement parks and it gives you discounts such as
on meals in the restaurants.
My photos from my first two trips to Faunia are on page
2. By the way, have a look at Faunia on Google
Maps while you're at it.
