Monument to Alfonso XII
The tomb of Alfonso XII, a tall monument of Alfonso on horseback,
is in the Retiro park next to this large artificial lake. There
are usually lots of activities around the lake, especially on
Sunday mornings: puppet shows, concerts, etc. etc. There are also
a few comfortable but expensive bars/restaurants. Boat
rides are about 4.50 euros each from what I understand. (30 minute
average wait)
