Retiro photos

This is the Retiro park. It covers a pretty large area and is similar to NYC's Central Park. The two main areas are the lake area and the Palacio de Cristal (glass palace), but I'm sure you can find plenty of other things to do and see while you're here. The best day of the week to visit is Sunday as there are all kinds of activities and lots of people go.

A fountain as seen from the Puerta de Alcalá entrance.



There is plenty of shade and you can lie down and have a rest just about anywhere.

That particular entrance is nearer to the Prado area.



There are sometimes expositions here in this buidling between the Alfonso XII monument and the glass palace.

There are plenty of these little places to have a bite to eat as well.
