Note: If you are one of my students, you can write about any of these topics you like whenever you like. Other students cannot "write" at the moment, but they can "read."

El texto ha de ser de 150 palabras (de entre 120 y 180 palabras), y tiene que responder de forma organizada a la pregunta o contexto que se indica más abajo. Envíalo directamente dentro de un correo electrónico a madridteacher@gmail.com (no dentro de un documento de MSWord, etc.) También, intenta utilizar algunos Linkers en tu texto.

Estos textos y sus correcciones se pondrán en alguna página del sitio, por lo que al enviar el texto estas autorizando a su publicación en este sitio web. Temas - Empieza los textos con estas frases:

Grammar

A typical day: Write about a typical day in your life. Elementary students of English can contribute because this text can and should be very simple. (i.e. I wake up. I get up. etc. etc.)

Have/Have got: Imagine you're a multi-millionaire and brag (jactarse) about some of your fantastic possessions.

Like doing: Write about the types of activities that you like doing and why you like doing them.

Like something/somebody/someplace: Write about a favorite place, book, athlete, TV series or program, singer, band, film, actor, shopping center or store.

Present Continuous: Imagine you are in another city/place on vacation for a week. Write a postcard to a friend and tell him/her what you are doing at the moment and what you do every day.

Would like: Write about something that you'd like to get and why you'd like to get it.

Past Simple: Write about something that you did last weekend on Saturday. Elementary students of English can contribute because this text can be very simple. (i.e. use the past simple: I went to a party, I watched a film, etc.) You can also write other texts about a (birthday) party, a trip, a vacation, an accident, etc.

Friends anecdote: Write about a time when you met someone important to you. Describe the situation and what happened. How did you feel?

Second conditional: Write about what you would do if you won the lottery.

Second conditional: Write a short informal letter to an old friend (or enemy - dead or alive) who you haven't seen for years and tell him/her how you feel about him/her and what you/he/she would (probably) do if you got together again. Inspiration: Here Today by Paul McCartney on Youtube.com, Lyrics on Lyricsfreak.com. You can imagine your someone else and be more creative.

Present Perfect: Write about your best life experiences, the ones you have already had, the ones you're still having and the ones you haven't had yet. You might explain why they are the "best" as well.

General Topics:

Hobby: Write about a hobby or interest that you have.

Animals: Write about a a pet or animal that you had as a child.

Telephones: "I don’t like mobile phones because . . ." Write about mobile phones.

Education: "I think your children's education is the responsibility of . . . because . . ."Write about education.

Motorcycles: "I think motorcycles are great/terrible because..." Write about motorcycles.

Dreams: "I once had a scary/fantastic dream..." Write the story of a description of a nightmare that you have had. Or write the story of a fantastic dream that you have had.

Write about global warming. Give your opinion about why it is happening and what should be done.

Write a text about a specific environmental environment problem.

Write about globalization. Say whether it is good or bad and who it is good or bad for. Also, if you say it is bad, say what we should do about it.

Comparative Cultures: Write about the main differences and similarities between two cultures. You might write about the differences between Spanish and American culture, for example.

Life decisions: Write about a point in your childhood when you made a decision that changed your life.

Famous people: Write a description of a famous person with what he or she has achieved, say what type of person he or she is and why you admire him (or her).

Sports Commentary: Write a commentary about something in sports.

Survival English

Restaurant dialog: Write out what you imagine to be a typical restaurant dialog.

Hotel reception dialog: Write out what you imagine to be a typical hotel reception dialog.

Business Topics:

Job interview: Write either a list of questions typical in a job interview or a dialog of a part of a job interview with the questions and their answers.
